In the past week, we reached three major landmarks in our relaunch process. First, we started the process of opening bank accounts. Because we are a nonprofit organization, there is a process that the bank must complete before they approve the accounts. The banker estimated it would take 1-2 weeks to receive approval.
Second, the Geerdes family moved into their new home. Thank you to everyone who helped them move! Cleanup at both the parsonage and church continues. We lose access to both after August 17.
Third, the website is now live. Check it out at https://newfoundation.church. We still have some things to add to it as the transition process continues (e.g., online giving, and a merch store!), but the basic shell is available.
We are also continuing the search for meeting space. This is one of the leadership team’s top priorities. It is our hope that, as soon as the bank accounts are available, we will be able to finalize a new location!
