This week, New Foundation Church continued its march toward an official “Grand Opening” in two ways. The first was by receiving several pieces of necessary audio equipment. This included a wheeled case that will enable us to securely store cables, gear, etc., and move it all easily between the two rooms we are using for worship. These items were all on our Relaunch Shopping List, which has been updated to show what has been purchased. There are still more items on the list! In fact, we are adding things to the list as we discover needs. So please prayerfully consider if God would have you order something off the list or donate money toward the purchase of something on the list.

The second, far more important way our relaunch effort has advanced is through pizza. On October 14, Hoover High School hosted a FAFSA night for 30 families to get help with college financial aid applications. The original plan was for NFC to provide pizza and a couple of volunteers to manage it through the evening. We were informed on the morning of the event that the volunteers were not needed after all, but NFC still provided 15 pizzas, plates, napkins, and bottles of water so the families who attended would not have to worry about dinner.

On a similar note, we received a thank you card from Samuelson Elementary for providing refreshments for their parent engagement event on September 30.
