There are many ways to get involved at New Foundation Church.

Daily Opportunities

Daily opportunities are things that we need every single day.

Prayer Team

NFC’s prayer team does exactly what the name suggests: they pray. If you are a prayer warrior, we need you! Follow our prayer calendar to see how we’re praying today!

One-Hour Challenge

The One-Hour Challenge is a commitment to spend at least an hour per week in Bible study and prayer.

+1 Initiative

The +1 Initiative is a commitment to do our part to make more and better followers of Jesus. It involves identifying people we know and care about who do not yet know Jesus. Then, we commit to praying for them daily, engaging them in some meaningful way at least weekly, and inviting them as often as possible into faith in Christ and fellowship with our church.

Weekend Opportunities

Weekend service opportunities typically make church services possible. Contact Pastor Jeremy for more details about how you can get involved!

Setup

The setup team is responsible for preparing the sanctuary for worship. This may include setting chairs, tables, and signage; moving equipment; and coordinating with the production team.

Hospitality

NFC’s Hospitality Team ensures guests and members feel welcome and comfortable during the services. This includes greeting people when they arrive, answering questions, providing directions, etc.

Children

NFC’s children’s ministry team ensures that our youngest members and guests have a safe, fun place to learn about Jesus.

Production

NFC’s production team is responsible for a wide variety of things before and during our weekend services. They help create the slide shows, run sound checks, manage audio levels, and produce the video that is streamed online.

Cleanup

The cleanup team ensures that all chairs, tables, and gear are properly stored, and the facility is cleaned, following the service.

Weekday Opportunities

New Foundation Church aims to be a radically community-oriented congregation. Among other things, this means that the church encourages parishioners to get involved in various organizations and activities throughout the community. Here are some ways you might get involved in the community! Contact Pastor Jeremy for more ideas or to get involved!

Hospitality

The NFC Hospitality Team works throughout the week to follow up with guests. This includes sending cards and text messages, making phone calls, and even doing home visits.

Schools

NFC believes that schools are, in many ways, on the front lines of ministry in the twenty-first century. Therefore, we encourage parishioners to find ways to get involved with the school(s) in their area. Schools are always eager for volunteers in a wide variety of areas. They will also typically have some requirements for participating (e.g., completing a background check). Contact the school office for more information.

Community

Numerous community organizations depend on volunteers. Some great examples in our area include Des Moines Refugee Support, Hope Ministries, DMARC food pantries, hospitals, and crisis pregnancy centers. Contact an organization in your part of town!
